Caring for Creation
Welcome to this section of the website, where we explore how we are trying to care for Creation
'The earth is the Lord's and all that is in it, the compass of the world and all who live therein.' (Psalm 24: 1)
The call to care for God's creation has become an important priority for us as Christians as we join with many across the world in addressing the urgent needs of climate change, environmental crises, and the need for sustainable living in order to protect the world's natural resources.
What are we doing in our parishes?
Both of our parishes have joined an A Rocha Eco Church project, and we have worked our way through a survey to gain an Eco Church Bronze award.
We have considered what steps we need to take in five areas -
Worship and teaching
Church buildings
Church land
Our community and global engagement
Our lifestyles
We invite you to join with us in this project by reflecting on what changes you think you might want to make in lifestyle choices which affect our environment and planet. Go to 'Our Lifestyles' page to find out more.
