Advent Day of Reflection Thursday 30 November, 10 am to 3 pm St Nicholas' Church, Wigginton (see also poster below) Programme 10:00 Introduction and opening prayers 10:30 Holy Communion 11:00 Refreshments 11:30 Reflection 1 'The Root' 12:15 Lunch 13:00 Reflection 2 'The Sun' 13:45 Refreshments 14:00 Reflection 3 'The Rose' 14:45 Closing Worship The aim of the day is to provide a time for reflection as Advent approaches. Each Reflection will last up to 15 minutes, after which participants are invited to spend time (half an hour) either in quiet (in the church) or in fellowship with others (in the hall) discussing aspects about the Reflection. Discussion points about each Reflection will be offered. It is not a ‘Quiet Day’ in the strict sense of the word. Participants may stay for all the sessions between 10.00 am and 3.00 pm, or come and go depending on personal circumstances. The only request is that if you intend to come for only some of the sessions then please arrive promptly at the stated times above. A ‘light lunch’ (eg: soup, sandwiches etc) will be served at 12.15 pm. For catering purposes it would be helpful if you could indicate if you want lunch.
