Courses exploring faith

Courses exploring Faith

There is often an opportunity to explore faith through various groups and events in both churches.

Children, Young People and Families

For children, young people and families there is a Tots and Toddlers group and Messy Church.

A Youth Group meets at St Nicholas' Church twice a month.  For more details see our 'Church Life' section.

For Adults

There is a monthly meeting of 'Mustard Seeds' and the 'Book and Cake Club' which offers opportunities for study and fellowship.   For more details see our 'Church Life' section.

For those who have been baptized and now wish to 'confirm' their faith a Confirmation Course has been held most years.   There are separate Confirmation courses for young people and adults currently in progress, in preparation for a Confirmation Service in January 2020.   Please speak to the Rector for more information.

For further details go to our 'Life Events' section.

Seasonal Preparation

There are usually courses and events running Lent and Advent.   In Lent we offer both a Lent course and Lent Lunches (with a speaker).

This year (2019) there is a pre-Advent course on 'What is the point of Christmas?'   This course is currently underway.

There is a pre-advent lunch on 29 November, with a speaker from the charity 'Embrace the Middle East'

There is an Advent Quiet Day on Saturday 30 November.
