We have range of services and activities to suit children of all ages.

Our children’s work is felt to be of great importance and we encourage parents to be involved in the friendly, family atmosphere the church has to offer.

Children are very welcome at our services and throughout the year there are a number of special children’s activity days and services to celebrate major festivals.

Sunday worship

Activity Bags are available to amuse children who prefer to remain with parents in church. Please ask for one.

Bright Sparks is our Sunday School at Wigginton for children from age 4 years, and meets during the 9.30 a.m. Sunday Service in the church hall.  Bright Sparks use a teaching programme which follows the lectionary themes of the services through the churches year. It aims to provide an enjoyable environment where children feel comfortable to explore and share their understanding of the Christian faith through activities, stories and discussions. The children join the main service to come to the altar rail at Communion and are encouraged to share their teaching with the congregation.

Holiday Club

Established for over 10 years and well supported each year, our Holiday Club is held on 3 mornings during the first week of August. It caters for 50 children, age 4 – 11 years. Each Holiday Club is based on a biblical theme or character and includes teaching of the bible story through stories, sketches and craft activities, based on the theme.

Safeguarding

All the activities in both Churches are governed by latest Safeguarding Guidelines - see our Safeguarding page.
